Mod «PzDrones» for Project Zomboid

PzDrones adds a functional quadcopter to Project Zomboid. This vehicle is scavenged in pieces, assembled, and carried in the player's inventory. Once placed on the ground, it can be flown using a remote control. The player character remains stationary at the launch site while controlling the drone, leaving them vulnerable to attacks.

The drone features realistic flight mechanics where keys tilt the aircraft to generate thrust. It includes a sport mode for increased speed at the cost of higher battery consumption. The remote control displays altitude, heading, battery level, and status indicators such as low battery or impact warnings. Damage to the remote lens degrades the video feed.

• Cargo Delivery: The drone can lift one container with a capacity between 6 and 16 spaces. Weight and bulk affect flight speed, battery drain, and handling. Containers include ammo boxes, toolboxes, briefcases, coolers, and suitcases. Backpacks and garbage bags cannot be lifted.
• Bomb Delivery: Vanilla pipe bombs or aerosol bombs can be attached to the drone. Once armed, the fuse cannot be stopped. The player can target a specific tile for detonation upon arrival or impact.
• Assembly and Repair: Drones are found in garages or built from scavenged parts. Players can craft a Drone Remote and a Makeshift Drone Battery. Assembly requires specific components: arms, wings, camera, and battery. Damaged parts affect performance, and missing rotors prevent flight.
• Multiplayer Support: Other players can see the operator standing with the transmitter and the drone in the sky.
