Mod «U.S. M60A3 by Papa_Chad» for Project Zomboid

This mod adds the U.S. M60A3 tank to Project Zomboid Build 42, featuring enhanced visuals, performance, and realistic combat mechanics. It is compatible with existing saves, KI5 vehicles, and other mods.

Features:

• Animated tracks, hatches, doors, and turret
• Heavily armored hull
• Functional main cannon and coaxial machine gun
• Multiple military skin variations

Drive and Shoot Variation:

A separate variation allows the driver to operate the turret and coaxial weapon. To use this feature, enable the mod «U.S. M60A3 Drive and Shoot by Papa_Chad». Do not activate both the standard and drive-and-shoot variations simultaneously.

Weapons and Ammunition:

• 105mm M68 Cannon: Uses 105mm APFSDS (Armor Piercing) and 105mm HE (High Explosive) rounds. APFSDS rounds penetrate walls, vehicles, and entities, losing energy with each penetration. HE rounds detonate on impact, causing area damage.
• M240 Coaxial Machine Gun: Uses 7.62x51mm ammunition.
• Weapons grant XP for kills and do not have infinite ammunition. Ammo loot rates are proportional to the vanilla system.

Enhanced Aiming System:

When aiming, a circle indicates the mouse position, while a triangle shows the cannon's actual orientation. Projectiles follow the turret's direction, not the cursor, unless both are aligned.
