Mod «[B42] Common Sense +» for Project Zomboid

Common Sense + is a quality-of-life mod for Project Zomboid Build 42, completely rewritten from scratch to ensure stability and compatibility with the latest game updates. It introduces intuitive interactions such as prying locked objects, collecting obvious resources, and improving inventory management.

• Crowbar Prying: Use a crowbar to pry open locked house doors, garage doors, reinforced cell and security doors, windows, and vehicle doors or trunks. Success depends on Strength; burglars rarely fail, while reinforced doors require a minimum Strength level. Failed attempts on windows may shatter the glass.
• Obvious Collecting: Pick up twigs, stones, logs, grass tufts, weeds, bushes, and roadside trash directly. Yields can be adjusted via sandbox options or disabled to simply clear the tile.
• Ammo Readout: The equipped item panel displays the loaded round type and count, including the chambered round. The indicator changes color from white to amber to red as ammunition depletes. This feature automatically disables if Advanced Trajectory, The Star, or Arsenal(26) is active.
• Dashboard Highlighter: Vehicle dashboard gauges for battery, engine, and heater are tinted based on their condition, providing early warnings for failing components. Includes a color-blind friendly palette.
• Equip from Ground: Right-click weapons, garments, or bags on the floor to equip them directly without opening the inventory.
• Selective Washing: Wash only worn clothing or items in bags at water sources, in addition to the standard option to wash all clothing.
• Wristwatches: Seven styles of wristwatches spawn in bedroom dressers, side tables, and wardrobes.
• Belt-clip Flashlights: Hand torches and crafted flashlights can be attached to the belt, freeing up a hand. Bath towels and dishcloths have increased durability.
• Additional Recipes: Clean bandages using rubbing alcohol when clean water is scarce, and cut sheets from cotton clothing using scissors or sharp knives.
• Additional Repairs: Repair plungers with wooden sticks and wood glue, and repair nightsticks with wood glue.
• Multi-language Support: Supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, and Thai.

All features can be tuned or disabled via sixteen sandbox options under the Common Sense + tab, including specific controls for prying difficulty, window shatter chance, and collecting yields.

The mod is compatible with multiplayer, provided it is installed on both the server and client. It is designed to coexist with other mods, yielding functionality to Advanced Trajectory, The Star, Arsenal(26), Shine Together, No Irradiated Sling, and No Attachments where applicable.
