This mod introduces a realism overhaul for zombie behavior in Project Zomboid Build 42, focusing on hunger, feeding mechanics, scent detection, and physical interactions. It adds individual hunger states for zombies (Fed, Hungry, Extremely Hungry) that influence their priority for food sources such as human corpses, animal carcasses, and exposed meat.

Key Features:

  • Corpse Consumption: Zombies eat human and animal corpses with progress-based consumption. Multiple zombies can feed on one corpse until satiety is reached, leaving remains or skeletons.
  • Scent Mechanics: Corpses emit scent based on decomposition stage, size, and remaining flesh. Player scent is affected by blood on body/clothing. Weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, temperature) impact scent propagation and persistence.
  • Blood Trails: Bleeding players leave scent trails that zombies can follow. Trails are affected by weather and time.
  • Physical Interactions: Includes feeding frenzies that attract nearby zombies, horde pressure causing staggering or falls, tripping over corpses/skeletons, and chain-push collisions within hordes.
  • Environmental Factors: Walls and interiors reduce scent and sound propagation. Wind direction affects scent detection areas.
  • Multiplayer Support: Fully synchronized for Coop and Multiplayer modes.

All features are configurable via Sandbox settings.
