Mod «Computer Mod - New Music Integration» for Project Zomboid

This is a compatibility add-on that connects Computer Mod computers to Tali's New Music Mod. It provides Computer Mod with a functional cassette capture deck and expands Music.exe into a full music library and player.

New Music song packs are optional. Compatible media registered through New Music is detected automatically. The recommended enable order is: Computer Mod, Tali's New Music, your New Music song packs, and then this integration add-on.

• Cassette Capture Deck: A rare world item that can be connected to a nearby Computer Mod computer.
• New Music cassette support: Insert recognized cassettes into the deck and browse them as Cassette Deck (E:) in My Files.
• Direct music CD support: Compatible New Music CDs can be inserted directly into the computer's built-in CD drive without using the deck.
• Track importing: Copy individual cassette or CD tracks into the automatically created Songs folder.
• Real file behavior: Copied songs can be moved between folders, placed on the desktop, deleted, and restored from Trash.
• Folder playlists: Every folder containing songs appears as a separate playlist in Music.exe.
• Expanded Music.exe: Browse sources and tracks, view available cover art, track elapsed time and duration, and use previous, play, stop, and next controls.
• Persistent playback: Music and playlist progression continue after closing the computer interface or walking away.
• Multiplayer support: Deck connections, media operations, imports, playback selection, and volume changes are validated and synchronized by the server.

How to Use the Cassette Deck

• Place the Cassette Capture Deck within two tiles of a computer.
• Right-click the deck and select Connect to computer .
• Right-click it again and insert a cassette recognized by New Music.
• Open the computer, enter My Files , and open Cassette Deck (E:) .
• Right-click a track and copy it into the Songs folder.
• Open Music to play the cassette, a compatible CD, or any folder containing imported songs.

Compatible New Music CDs use Computer Mod's normal Insert CD menu and do not require the cassette deck.

The Cassette Capture Deck can appear as rare loot in electronics, radio, music, office, garage, storage, school, and residential locations. Its base spawn chance can be changed under Computer Mod: New Music Integration in the sandbox settings.

Servers must enable the mod IDs for Computer Mod, New Music, and this integration add-on in their normal Mods= list. Add the corresponding Workshop IDs, plus any optional song-pack IDs, to WorkshopItems= .
