Mod «Fitted Barricades» for Project Zomboid

This mod adjusts barricade mechanics so that planks, metal sheets, and bars fully cover the window or door opening they are attached to, replacing the vanilla system which uses a fixed set of four planks for all openings. The number of materials required scales with the size of the opening.

• Tall house windows require six planks
• Doors require seven planks
• Shop fronts require nine planks
• Tall openings require two metal sheets or two sets of bars instead of one

Barricades fill from the middle outward. Removing a barricade returns all used materials. Small windows that are already covered by four planks, very large multi-tile windows, and empty wall holes remain unchanged.

Balance:

• Each plank, sheet, or bar retains vanilla health values
• Larger barricades are significantly tougher but cost more nails (e.g., a nine-plank window costs eighteen nails)
• Zombies must break every individual piece to enter
• Sight is blocked by three planks or one metal sheet, consistent with vanilla behavior

Compatibility & Technical Details:

• Requires Project Zomboid Build 42 (tested on 42.20)
• Adds new tiles without modifying vanilla files
• Safe to add to existing saves; existing barricades are refitted as areas load
• Safe to remove; remaining barricades function as standard vanilla objects
• Multiplayer compatible (syncs as standard objects)
