Mod «Jumbo Tree Indoor Fix» for Project Zomboid

This mod addresses a rendering issue in Build 42.20 where jumbo tree canopies obscure indoor furniture, windows, and outdoor visibility. It functions as a client-side fix that dynamically hides or fades tree canopies based on player location and activity without modifying save files or game state.

• Indoors: Jumbo trees (L/XL/XXL) within 24 tiles are hidden to ensure furniture and windows remain visible; trees reappear immediately upon exiting
• Driving: Canopies of XL/XXL trees covering the road ahead fade or disappear while trunks remain visible for collision awareness; look-ahead distance scales with vehicle speed
• On Foot: Canopies of XL/XXL trees thin out in all directions during movement and restore when standing still
• L-size jumbo trees remain unaffected while driving or on foot to preserve forest scenery
• Normal-sized trees are not affected by this modification

Mod Options:

• Hide view-blocking jumbo trees: Master switch for indoors, driving, and on-foot rendering
• Canopy hiding style: Toggle between Fade (translucent gradient) or Trunk only (complete canopy removal)
• Hide road-covering canopies while driving: Affects canopy visibility only
• Look-ahead distance while driving: Adjustable between Long and Short
• Hide canopies around you while on foot: Toggles dynamic thinning effect
• On-foot hide range: Adjustable between Standard, Narrow, and Minimal

Compatibility:

• Requires Project Zomboid Build 42.20
• Client-side rendering only; safe to add or remove at any time
• In multiplayer, effects apply only to the local client
• In local split-screen, hidden trees affect both players due to shared rendering
