Mod «CD: Pug» for Project Zomboid

CD: Pug is an optional breed add-on for the Companion Dogs mod, designed for Build 42 (42.19+). It functions in singleplayer, co-op, and dedicated servers, and is safe to add to existing saves.

Requirements:

• Requires the base mod Companion Dogs (version 0.6.8 or newer)
• Both mods must be enabled in the main-menu Mods list
• A full game restart is required to load the dog model correctly

Features:

• Fast Obedience Training: Trains obedience twice as fast as any other breed
• Permanent Bond: Loyalty does not fade when the player is away or careless
• Shadow Moodle: Unique moodle that drains unhappiness, boredom, and stress faster than other dogs while nearby
• Early Detection: Notices zombies from further away than other breeds at the same Scent level
• Low Maintenance: Consumes a fraction of the food and water compared to larger breeds
• Spawn Locations: Found in homes (half the base stray chance per house), pet shops, and veterinary clinics
• Full Integration: Supports all base mod features including Follow/Stay/Guard, sentinel alerts, hunting, saddlebags, needs, skills, genetics, and breeding

Limitations:

• Weak Combatant: Has the weakest bite, cannot finish off zombies, cannot knock them down, and panics easily
• Loud Bark: Alerts zombies loudly, even if bark noise is disabled in sandbox options
• Slow Speed: Slower than other breeds at full run; cannot keep up during sprints
• Heat Sensitivity: Prone to stress in hot weather and stops providing comfort until cooled down
• Low Carry Capacity: Cannot carry significant weight despite having saddlebags

Warning: Do not remove this add-on from a save with living Pugs, as the game engine discards animals of unknown types. Other dogs and the base mod remain unaffected.
