Mod «This Is Your Life [B42.20 Stable] WIP» for Project Zomboid

This Is Your Life replaces the vanilla character creation system with a fully themed, in-world experience for Project Zomboid Build 42.20 Stable. Players select a hometown from animated postcards, browse professions via newspaper classifieds, complete a personnel assessment for traits, and file an identification record through a DMV-inspired appearance screen. All custom screens scale responsively with game resolution.

Origin System

• Selecting a hometown determines the starting spawn location.
• When Origin Traits are enabled, characters receive local map knowledge and an Origin trait visible on the character sheet.
• Stress accumulates 10% more slowly while in the selected hometown.
• Town-specific bonuses include: Riverside (+10% Fishing XP), Muldraugh (+10% Mechanics XP), West Point (+10% Foraging XP), Rosewood (Unhappiness builds 12.5% slower), Dixie (+10% Cooking XP), Ekron (+10% Blacksmithing XP), Fallas Lake (+10% Aiming XP), Irvington (+10% Agriculture XP), Louisville (+10% Sprinting XP), Brandenburg (+10% Carpentry XP), and Echo Creek (+10% Reloading XP).

Scripted Events

• Includes a scripted spawn event involving narrative elements and specific items located in a shed.

Sandbox Options

• Enable Origin Traits: Toggles map knowledge, stress protection, visible traits, and town-specific bonuses.
• Enable Scripted Starts: Toggles the partner scenario; when disabled, uses standard or curated spawn pools.
