Mod «VHS Collector's Rack» for Project Zomboid
Adds a craftable furniture item that serves as both storage and a visual progress tracker for the retail VHS tapes found in Project Zomboid. The rack displays six fullness states, allowing players to gauge their collection size from across the room without opening the inventory. Unfound titles remain hidden as ???, while collected items are grouped by series with per-series counts.
- Crafted at Carpentry level 3 via the building menu
- Features four-directional artwork (north, south, east, west) and lore-friendly 2-sided display
- Functions as a standard storage container for inserting and retrieving tapes
- Supports filling the entire collection in one action or managing tapes individually
- Filled tapes persist through save/load cycles
- Compatible with single-player and multiplayer; server owns creation and transfers
- Rack must be emptied before it can be picked up
- Both halves of the 1x2 structure behave as a single piece
Compatibility: Tracks retail VHS tapes from the base game. Tapes added by other mods are stored normally but are not part of the tracked catalog.
