Mod «Plysken Battery Charger» for Project Zomboid
This mod prevents batteries from being destroyed when they reach 0% charge, allowing them to be recharged using a crafted Crank Battery Charger. It is designed for solo and multiplayer environments (co-op host and dedicated server) on Project Zomboid Build 42.
Key Features:
- Batteries remain in containers after depletion instead of vanishing
- Dead batteries can be removed from devices via right-click context menu
- Craftable Crank Battery Charger requires Electricity skill level 2, screwdriver, scrap metal, electronic scrap, and electric wire
- Charging consumes endurance and time; partial charges are preserved if stopped early
- Ordinary batteries degrade with each charge cycle until broken (can be scrapped for metal)
- Rechargeable Batteries are rare loot items that degrade much slower and return to inventory when removed from devices
Sandbox Options:
- Adjust cranking time per battery
- Modify endurance cost per full charge
- Set wear rate for ordinary and rechargeable batteries
- Control spawn rarity of Rechargeable Batteries
- Configure maximum charge capacity for worn batteries
Compatibility & Notes:
- Compatible with mods using vanilla batteries (e.g., modded flashlights)
- Can be added to existing saves, but previously destroyed batteries cannot be recovered
- No mains/wall socket charging available to maintain scarcity balance
