Mod «Plysken Solar Revolution» for Project Zomboid

Plysken Solar Revolution is a complete off-grid solar energy system for Project Zomboid Build 42. It introduces solar panels, battery banks, a Solar Computer for device management, and a failsafe backup generator relay, allowing players to harness solar power to keep their base running after the grid goes dark. The mod supports both solo and multiplayer modes.

To get started, players must find the magazine New Advancements: Energy From The Sun in electronics stores or Solar Box crates to learn the recipes. Crafting begins with making solar panel parts, followed by assembling panels and battery banks. Battery banks require an indoor room with walls and a roof, while solar panels need clear sky exposure. Once constructed, panels are connected to the bank, batteries are inserted, and the system is activated.

• Solar Power: A running battery bank powers all vanilla appliances within its building and a surrounding radius, operating silently without fuel. Charge drains during night or heavy cloud cover.
• Backup Generator: A Failsafe Trigger can be placed on a plugged-in vanilla generator. It automatically starts the generator when battery levels are low and stops it once they recover.
• Fume Management: Active battery banks clear toxic fumes from their room. If the bank runs flat, fume clearing stops, so real generators should remain outdoors.
• Solar Computer: Connecting a vanilla Desktop Computer to a battery bank opens a Device Management interface. This allows players to monitor live consumption and enable or disable specific devices or groups.
• Items: Includes Flat, Wall-Mounted, and Floor-Mounted solar panels; Deep Cycle and Super batteries; Wired Car Batteries; Improvised and DIY Batteries; and tools for reconditioning batteries.

The mod features various sandbox options to adjust solar efficiency, charge frequency, battery degradation, loot rarity, and connection ranges. It is designed as a standalone overhaul and does not require other mods. Note that loot related to this mod only spawns in unexplored areas of existing saves.
